Developer documentation
Sakneen exposes the unit record programmatically in two ways: a REST API for systems integration, and an MCP server so AI assistants can answer questions about inventory and projects directly. Both read the same records described on the platform pages.
Documentation
Access
API and MCP access is granted per customer and scoped to the records that customer is entitled to see. There is no public, unauthenticated access to any developer's inventory — a brokerage's token sees exactly what that brokerage sees in the product, and no more.
Frequently asked questions
- Is there a public API sandbox?
- Not yet. Access is provisioned per customer during onboarding. Ask during implementation and a scoped token is issued for your environment.
- Which is the right surface for us?
- Use the REST API for system-to-system integration — warehouses, portals, internal tools. Use MCP when the consumer is an AI assistant answering a person's question.
